About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Mental Health Urgent Response Team at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHSFT.

Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team providing 24/7 mental health assessments for service users. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for undertaking comprehensive assessments, diagnosing and formulating management plans, and providing expert clinical leadership to the multidisciplinary team.

Main Duties
  1. Undertake complex assessments of referrals and admissions to the service
  2. Diagnose and formulate management plans for patients with complex mental health needs
  3. Provide high-quality clinical care, including risk assessment and management
  4. Lead clinical decision-making in the multidisciplinary team
  5. Develop service clinical priorities and engage with transformation programs
  6. Provide clinical supervision and education to trainees and medical students

Salary

The salary for this role is £120,000 - £140,000 per annum, depending on experience.
