Radiology Specialist with Strong Clinical Leadership

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Specialist to join our team at an undisclosed location. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to develop their clinical leadership skills and contribute to the delivery of high-quality radiological services.

The successful candidate will have significant experience in non-vascular interventional radiology and/or GI radiology, with excellent leadership and motivational skills. They will be able to demonstrate detailed knowledge of clinical governance and risk management, and have a strong track record of working within and leading clinical teams.

As a Radiology Specialist, you will play a key role in providing a diagnostic service and ensuring the proper functioning of the department. You will be responsible for undertaking emergency duties on a rota basis, supervising and reporting urgent ultrasound, CT scans, and MRI Cauda Equina scans. You will also be required to participate in clinical audit, follow individual research interests, and engage in continuing medical education (CME/CPD).

The ideal candidate will hold MBChB, FRCR or equivalent qualifications, and have full GMC registration and be on the specialist register within six months of being appointed. They will also have completed recognised Speciality Training Programme or equivalent, and have appropriate experience and training in the sub-specialty.

This is a salaried position, with an estimated annual salary range of £100,000 - £150,000 based on market rates and cost of living considerations.
