Job Title: High-Speed Manufacturing Technician

Overview:

A leading food manufacturer is looking for an Electrically biased Shift Engineer to join their day shift engineering team.

Salary: £50,000 per annum

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the company's high-speed production lines, including electrical and mechanical fault finding and repairs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the efficient operation of high-speed production lines
  • Carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding and repairs
  • Worked on high-speed food production lines, packaging machinery and automation
  • Dealing with motors, sensors, servo drives, inverters, pneumatics, gearboxes, contactors, relays
  • Assist in any installation and commissioning of new equipment
  • Building and wiring of control panels

Requirements:

  • Must have experience in high-speed food manufacturing
  • At least NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 qualified in Electrical Engineering
  • Multi-skilled maintenance engineer, ideally electrically biased
  • Worked on relays, contactors, servo drives, inverters, motors
  • Beneficial to have 17th / 18th Edition
  • Ideally have completed a time-served apprenticeship
  • PLC - electrical fault finding skills
  • Dealt with high-speed food production, packaging machinery and automation
  • Ideally able to build control panels
  • Solid mechanical skills
  • Beneficial if worked in high-care food hygiene standards
