Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Pharmacy Assistant to join our Dispensary team at Medway NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing safe and efficient dispensing services to our patients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist with education and training for dispensary staff and rotational staff
  • Maintain accurate dispensing records and records of dispensing errors
  • Maintain and follow up on dispensary to-follows and ordering processes
  • Manage and maintain the Virtual Outpatients Clinics
  • Support and assist all members of the dispensary team and the wider pharmacy team
  • Support dispensary staff working on the satellite pharmacy on Galton Day Unit

Person Specification
  • GCSE (English & Maths C or above)
  • NVQ2 (pharmaceutical) or ability to work towards within 6 months
  • Stock Control
  • Accurately dispense to set standards
  • Demonstrated accurate numeracy skills, without using a calculator, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication
  • Familiarity with Pharmacy services
  • IT literacy, including core Office programs
  • Good technical skills
  • Good organisation skills
  • Methodical and able to prioritise workload
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment and work in a restrictive clean room environment
