Career Development Manager

A dynamic and motivated individual is required to lead our Careers & Enrichment department. The successful candidate will develop and implement engaging programmes, provide expert advice and guidance, and build strong relationships with external partners. Job Description- Leadership: Lead the Careers & Enrichment department, developing and implementing strategies to improve student outcomes.
- Programme Development: Create and deliver engaging programmes that cater to the diverse needs of students, including those with special educational needs.
- Student Support: Provide expert advice and guidance to students, helping them navigate their career paths and higher education options.
- Career Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the latest careers and higher education guidelines, standards, and options, ensuring you can provide accurate information to students.
- External Relations: Establish and maintain strong external relationships through activities, contacts, visits, and speakers, enhancing the school's reputation and opportunities for students.
- Teaching: Occasionally teach PHSE / Enrichment lessons to Year 7-13 students, inspiring and motivating them to achieve their full potential.
- Degree or Qualification: Hold a degree or professional qualification relevant to the role.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Possess good written and oral communication skills, able to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
- Previous Experience: Ideally possess previous experience as a Head of Careers & Enrichment, although this is not essential.
- Career Knowledge: Have a strong understanding of career paths and/or higher education, with a willingness to learn more and stay updated on industry developments.
- Motivation: Be able to motivate and inspire young people, providing them with the support and guidance they need to succeed.

The salary for this position is £30,606 - £34,671 per annum, making it an attractive offer for those seeking a challenging and rewarding career in education.
