Radiation Physics is seeking an experienced Head of Diagnostic Imaging Physics to lead the development of scientific support for Diagnostic Imaging departments across Kent and the South East.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in radiation physics and have experience managing teams within a clinical environment.

This role requires the ability to act as an accredited Medical Physics Expert in diagnostic radiology, ensuring the safe delivery of radiation protection and diagnostic radiology services.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-level scientific and leadership expertise that directly impacts on the safety of staff, patients, and visitors.

They will engage with staff throughout the organisation to ensure radiation safety is prioritised and service levels are met.

Job Requirements

The role involves acting as an accredited MPE in diagnostic radiology, RPA2000 certification as a Medical Physics Expert, and HCPC registration as a Clinical Scientist.

A strong understanding of radiation dosimetry, diagnostic unit technology, and quality assurance is essential.

Benefits

The annual salary range is £74,290 to £85,601 per annum, pro rata.
