We are looking for a talented Diagnostic Radiology Physics Expert Leader to join our team at Radiation Physics. This role offers the opportunity to develop and lead scientific support for Diagnostic Imaging departments across Kent and the South East.

The successful candidate will have extensive post-registration clinical experience in radiation physics and act as an accredited Medical Physics Expert in diagnostic radiology.

This role requires the ability to manage a budget, prepare effective business cases, and exercise initiative when dealing with issues within their specialist area of competence.

Main Duties

The role involves delivering high-level scientific and leadership expertise that directly impacts on the safety of staff, patients, and visitors.

The candidate will engage with staff throughout the organisation to ensure radiation safety is prioritised and service levels are met.

Job Description

The role involves managing a section/team within a scientific/clinical environment, possessing advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of radiation dosimetry, diagnostic unit technology, and quality assurance.

A broad knowledge of applied radiation physics and associated areas within medical physics is also required.

Salary Range

The annual salary range is £74,290 to £85,601 per annum, pro rata.
