We're seeking an Internal Sales Representative to join our team at our Head Office in Burton on Trent. As a key member of our sales team, you'll be responsible for optimising sales and promoting our products and services across new and existing customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with existing account customers.
- Proactively hunt for, acquire, and retain new and existing channel partners.
- Identify fresh opportunities for channel sales and leads, and successfully convert them into tangible results.
- Gain deep insights into market supply chains and pricing, and leverage this knowledge to enhance our pricing strategies and follow-up processes.
- Engage in high-quality, purposeful conversations that are strategically planned to boost sales.
- Generate valuable opportunities through strong relationships, feeding our external sales team with actionable leads.
- Take ownership of complaints, supporting both the Sales and Customer Service teams to create a smoother customer journey and improve our NPS score.
- Demonstrate exceptional organisation and time management skills to efficiently plan and execute your tasks.
This role also offers the potential to develop into Specification opportunities over time – for example, completing sample follow-ups, targeted CPD bookings for the external sales team, and business development activity on renewables.
Requirements:
- Previous experience and a successful track record building strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Recognising and capitalising on sales opportunities, account management, driving business development, and securing new business.
- Drive Success: demonstrate achievements in role across KPIs and targets.
- Bring Industry Expertise: possess a solid background in business or the building/construction industry, with proven experience in engaging with diverse customer types.
- Negotiate Effectively: demonstrate strong negotiating skills that lead to win-win outcomes.
- Learn Rapidly: show a keen aptitude for learning, adapting quickly to new challenges and opportunities.
- Analyse with Precision: have the ability to interpret data and drive informed decisions.
- Communicate with Impact: be an excellent communicator across all levels, from team members to clients.
- Leverage Technology: possess a good level of computer literacy, coupled with strong organisational skills to streamline tasks and communication.
- Manage Projects Efficiently: demonstrate exceptional organisational skills to effectively manage workloads and take ownership of projects from start to finish.
