About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mental Health Nurse to join our team in providing high-quality care to individuals experiencing homelessness and mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contact and engage with rough sleepers, homeless individuals, and those in day centers and hostels to provide mental health support and services.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of mental health, housing, and social care needs to develop personalized care plans.
  • Offer short-term interventions to link clients with mainstream services and provide ongoing care management responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with the Operational Team Manager, Clinical Leads, and other stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated service.
  • Participate in team meetings, support groups, and other routine meetings to contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • RMN with current NMC registration.
  • Experience working in a setting that provided care for people with acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Understanding of the particular needs of homeless clients with enduring mental health problems.
  • Commitment to utilizing a range of mental health nursing skills to meet the needs of this client group.
  • Effective written and verbal communication, time management, and organizational skills.
