Job Title: Clinical/Counselling Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our Rough Sleepers Mental Health Team. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in providing psychological support to individuals experiencing homelessness.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative service that is dedicated to improving the mental health and wellbeing of rough sleepers. As a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist, you will be responsible for assessing the psychological needs of service users, developing and implementing treatment plans, and providing supervision to junior staff members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of service users' psychological needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Provide supervision to junior staff members, including trainee clinical psychologists and assistant psychologists
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Psychology
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness or mental health issues
  • Strong assessment and treatment planning skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
