Job Title: Clinical/Counselling Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to work in a specialist adult autism service, providing high-quality clinical input and consultation to complex cases. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing operational leadership and clinical supervision to junior colleagues, as well as working closely with other psychology services to ensure a smooth pathway for service-users and their families.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist consultation and clinical input to complex cases presenting with significant distress associated with autism and co-morbid psychosis, anxiety, mood disorders, and enduring difficulties.
  • Ensure junior colleagues are working to a clear job plan and receiving the operational and clinical supervision they require.
  • Work in close collaboration with other psychology services to ensure a smooth pathway for service-users and their families.
  • Conduct high-quality assessments, treatments, and systematic outcome measurement in the specialist care pathway.
Key Requirements
  • Post-graduate qualification in clinical or counselling psychology.
  • Additional specialist post-graduate training relevant to this population.
  • Experience of working with high levels of risk and severe mental health difficulties.
  • Well-developed skills in communication, consultation, and leadership.
