Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical/Counselling and Community Psychologist to join our team at Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist assessments, formulations, and interventions for veterans suffering from complex PTSD.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and develop treatment plans for veterans with complex PTSD.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions, including trauma-focused therapy and emotional regulation work.
  • Provide advice and consultation to a complex caseload, including liaison with other health and social care staff.
  • Contribute to governance and audit within the team, as well as mentoring and supervision.
Requirements
  • Professional Registration as a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist.
  • Experience of working with a wide variety of client groups, including those with acute and complex PTSD.
  • Knowledge of the theory and practice of specialised psychological therapies in specific difficult-to-treat groups.
  • Good written communication skills, including experience of producing reports/assessments/case notes.
About the Role

This is a 9-month maternity cover position, which would suit someone looking for career development. The post holder will be expected to work core hours 9 to 5 pm, but may have to work flexibly outside of these hours to meet the needs of the service.
