About the Role: We are seeking a reliable and flexible Part Time Catering Assistant to join our team in Barton under Needwood. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our kitchen staff with meal preparation, serving food to children and staff, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting kitchen staff with food preparation and presentation
  • Serving meals to children and staff in a friendly and efficient manner
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Handling payments for meals and identifying free school dinners
  • Cleaning canteen tables as you go, ready for the next group of children/staff

Requirements:

  • An enhanced child DBS (can assist with attainment)
  • Able to commit to part-time hours ongoing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work at a fast pace and use initiative
  • Warm, friendly, and approachable demeanor
  • Outgoing and able to build rapport with students and staff members
