Service Transition Manager

Network IT is seeking a skilled Service Transition Manager to join our client's team. This role is based in Birmingham and involves working closely with various stakeholders to ensure seamless service transitions.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the Applications Quality Assurance Manager, Service Management, Service Owners, Business Analysts, and the Project Office to ensure transition and release meet program requirements.
- Lead and coordinate Release Management teams to deliver releases on time, meeting quality and governance considerations, and documenting releases as required.
- Liaise with Service Management leads to ensure all documentation is captured in the Knowledge Base, user requests are created in the Service Catalogue, and service information is entered in the CMDB.
- Provide assurance that appropriate training and knowledge transfer take place to ensure services are embedded in support/operational teams.
- Undertake final checks prior to Release authorization to confirm release checklist and SDP have been completed, user acceptance training signed off, early life support in place, and a Change request raised.
- Act as gatekeeper at Release and Go/No Go meetings to evaluate operational readiness of services and confirm remaining risks and issues addressed before release authorization.
- Own and manage the release calendar, ensuring releases are scheduled to meet business needs while minimizing risks.
