About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Community Outreach Worker to manage our volunteer program and support the delivery of our services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in volunteer management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, train, and support a team of volunteers to deliver our services
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including volunteers, staff, and external partners
  • Coordinate volunteer involvement in various activities, including home visiting, activity support, and fundraising
  • Provide advice and guidance to colleagues on volunteer management best practices
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of volunteer activity

Requirements:

  • Experience of volunteer management, ideally in a charity or not-for-profit organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with volunteers, staff, and external partners
  • Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • A qualification in volunteer or people management or equivalent relevant vocational experience

Salary: £28,000 - £33,000 per annum
