About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workforce Development Coordinator to join our Quality and Assurance team at Wiltshire Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality training and development interventions for adult care practitioners, ensuring they have the skills, knowledge, and support needed to provide exceptional support for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver training and development interventions for adult care practitioners, including specifying, sourcing, implementing, delivering, monitoring, and evaluating quality training and development programs.
  • Work closely with the Principal Social Worker, Principal Occupational Therapist, and HR & OD colleagues to identify training needs and develop solutions.
  • Commission learning and development activities from internal and external providers, ensuring high-quality training that meets the identified learning needs of carers.
  • Market and promote training within adult care services, ensuring information is provided within appropriate timescales to prospective learners and relevant staff.
  • Maintain the ASC About website, providing regular input into ASC newsletters and news flashes when required regarding training.
Requirements
  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent in a relevant field, such as social care, training and development, or a similar field.
  • Training qualification or significant relevant experience in learning and development.
  • Experience of working in Social Care/Adult Care or a similar environment.
  • Up-to-date understanding and knowledge of adult care, including legislation, policy, and good practice.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to communicate simply and effectively with a wide range of people at all levels of the organisation.
