Site Services Manager

Avara Foods is a leading food business in the UK, supplying chicken and turkey to major supermarkets and restaurants. We own and manage our entire supply chain, from farms to factory and customer door. As a Site Services and Compliance Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our facilities are well-maintained and compliant with regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a team of up to 9 engineering personnel across various disciplines to support site activities.
- Responsible for managing the Site Service team, Engineering Stores, Facilities projects, and all aspects of Site and Engineering Compliance.
- Ensure the infrastructure of internal and external buildings and grounds are well-maintained and in good condition daily.
- Manage jobs on SPIDEX for fabrication, glass, and plastic, as well as health and safety issues.
- Site responsible person for HSB insurance compliance for LOLER and pressure vessels.
- Responsible for waste management and ISO 14001.
- Day-to-day management of Ancillary functions, including water treatment, water towers, DAF Plant, boilers, air compressors, vacuum pumps, air con, fire alarm/extinguishers, PAT testing, and thermal imaging.
- Contractor Management.
- Identify training needs of the team to coach, train, and develop them to provide opportunities to fulfill their roles and develop to their potential.
- Review data on equipment efficiency, review PMs, and coordinate inclusion of jobs on weekend or daily plans.
- Develop strong relationships with suppliers and contractors.
- Lead and support improvement projects and initiatives.
- HNC certification or Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering.
- HND or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- NEBOSH or IOSH.
- Proven planning expertise.
- Proven strengths in building strong relationships with suppliers and contractors.
- Experience in Engineering Compliance.
- Food manufacturing experience.
- Experience managing projects.
