Duties and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will support students with complex learning needs in their academic and personal growth, fostering a positive and nurturing learning environment. They will assist teaching staff in planning and delivering tailored lessons and activities to meet individual needs and abilities, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting independence, equality, diversity, and respect. Additionally, they will implement individualized education plans, behavior, and personal care strategies to support students' progress. Occasionally, they may support learners with personal care and administer medication.

Requirements:

We are looking for passionate individuals who have previous experience of working with children in an education and/or care environment. The ideal candidate will have good literacy and numeracy skills, able to communicate effectively with young people with learning disabilities. They must be eligible to work in the UK, have an enhanced child DBS on the update service or be willing to get one, and have experience working with children or young people with additional care needs. They must also have two recent professional references and the ability to communicate with and inspire children, as well as a commitment to safeguarding and promoting child welfare.
