Job Summary:
We're seeking a Development Control Technician to join our team in Bamber Bridge, Preston. As a key member of the Highway Service, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of highway civil engineering works. You'll work closely with colleagues to manage the process from start to finish, collaborating with development site managers to ensure compliance with approved designs and addressing any issues that arise.

Main Responsibilities:
• Provide on-site support to the Area West Section 38/278 Team Leader and Assistant Engineer, ensuring compliance with approved designs and resolving any issues that arise.
• Develop strong relationships with development site managers, communicating effectively to ensure the smooth delivery of projects.
• Contribute to the success of the Section 38/278 process, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:
• Valid driving license and access to a motor vehicle for official journeys (travel expenses paid).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of building positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Relevant experience in highway maintenance, operational, civil engineering, or Section 38/278 processes.
