About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Behaviour Mentor to join our team at Senploy. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with behavioural challenges and special educational needs (SEN) in a secondary school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with teachers and the behaviour lead to develop and implement behaviour management strategies to improve student behaviour across the secondary school.
- Provide one-on-one and group support to students with behavioural challenges and SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met both academically and emotionally.
- Deliver targeted interventions to address specific behavioural issues and provide focused SEN support.
- Respond to on-call behaviour support requests, assisting in de-escalating challenging situations in a calm and effective manner.
- Regularly monitor and adjust behaviour plans based on assessments and student progress, ensuring continuous support for both behavioural and SEN needs.
- Conduct risk assessments to ensure a safe and supportive environment for students dealing with behavioural and SEN challenges.
- Build strong, positive relationships with students to promote improved behaviour and foster an inclusive school experience.
Requirements:
- Experience in a secondary school behaviour support role or similar position working with students with behavioural and SEN needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and support student behaviour.
- A passion for helping students overcome behavioural challenges and succeed academically, particularly those with SEN.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, especially in behaviour management and SEN support roles.
