About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Edward Alsop Court, a specialist service providing support to homeless men in Westminster.

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping our customers develop the life skills they need to meet their assessed needs. This will involve providing physical, domestic, emotional, and social care, as well as promoting social inclusion and independent living.

Our service implements the Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) model, which focuses on supporting people out of homelessness and addressing complex trauma or personality disorders. You will work closely with our on-site Psychologist, Social Worker, and Nurses Clinic to provide a comprehensive support package.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to customers to develop life skills and meet their assessed needs
  • Work with customers to promote social inclusion and independent living
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide a comprehensive support package
  • Implement the Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) model
  • Support customers with complex trauma or personality disorders
Requirements
  • Typical qualifications from none to NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent
  • Experience in the social care/charity sector (not essential)
  • Ability to cope positively with challenging and diverse behaviours
  • Confident and respectful communication style
