Role Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and review project costs and variances on small commercial/regeneration/residential projects to control cost variables.
  • Deliver or assist in managing medium to large-scale cost projects or significant components of cost management assignments, ensuring delivery within set deadlines.
  • Understand and comply with business risk and present project concerns or issues to senior managers to ensure project impact is minimized.
  • Provide advice to colleagues on risk management principles, ensuring adherence to organizational risk and compliance processes.
  • Analyze and review data to collate trends and prepare documentation such as delivery plans, providing advice and making recommendations for cost and commercial management decision-making.
  • Review and analyze existing cost and commercial management processes and policies, sharing knowledge and taking an active involvement in service improvement and innovation.
  • Interact with internal and external customers, applying technical knowledge to complete complex tasks and ensure project delivery meets customer expectations.
  • Provide specialist technical advice and guidance within the area, supporting others with cost management queries and actively sharing knowledge to provide a high level of service to clients.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders to gain an in-depth understanding of their needs, resolving stakeholder issues and providing quality client care.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant professional qualification or chartered status with a relevant professional institution.
  • Demonstrable experience with the NEC suite of contracts.
  • Experience in delivering analysis and insights.
  • Self-management and prioritization skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to influence stakeholders and third parties.
  • Ability to take a project through from inception to completion.
