Role Description

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our Cost Management team. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be involved in a wide range of projects from global and high-profile to small and impactful, ensuring they are delivered on time and to budget.

Your expertise in planning, estimating, budgeting, and managing costs will drive growth and smarter working. You will work closely with project teams to identify and control costs and commercial risks, and provide advice on contract procurement documentation and commercial administration activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work independently within established financial systems to monitor and review project costs and variances.
  • Deliver/assist to manage medium to large-scale cost projects or significant components of cost management assignments.
  • Understand and comply with business risk and present any project concerns or issues to senior managers.
  • Provide advice to colleagues on principles of risk management.
  • Analyse and review a range of data to collate trends and prepare documentation.
  • Use own knowledge and experience to review and analyse existing cost and commercial management processes and policies.
  • Interact with internal and external customers to ensure projects/programmes can be delivered to meet customer expectations.
  • Provide specialist technical advice and guidance within area.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders to gain an in-depth understanding of their needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant professional qualification or chartered status with a relevant professional institution.
  • Demonstrable experience with the NEC suite of contracts.
  • Experience in delivering analysis and insights.
  • Demonstration of self-management and prioritisation skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Capable of taking a project through from inception to completion.
