BeBee Professionals is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its construction team in the UK. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing cost estimation, procurement, and contract negotiation to ensure project financial efficiency and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects, considering factors such as materials, labor, and equipment costs.
  • Conduct thorough cost analysis and financial reporting throughout project lifecycles, identifying areas of improvement and potential risks.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients, leveraging strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Monitor and manage project cash flows and budgets, ensuring timely payments and avoiding delays.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field, preferably from a reputable institution.
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in a similar role within the construction industry, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, regulations, and best practices, including relevant legislation and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in cost management software and financial reporting tools, such as XERAV and SafeTrak.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS) is highly desirable.
  • Full UK driving license, with access to reliable transportation.
