Job Title: General Assistant

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled General Assistant to join our team at Holroyd Howe, a leading contract caterer providing fresh innovative food services to independent schools and colleges. As a General Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food service, providing exceptional customer service to students and staff, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist in the preparation and serving of breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner according to established menus and recipes.
* Maintain cleanliness of the front of house areas, including organizing dishes and utensils.
* Follow proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.
* Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies.
* Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff during mealtimes, addressing any concerns or special dietary needs.

Requirements:

* Ideally have experience working within education catering.
* Have good Health & Safety knowledge.
* Flexible with a can-do attitude, customer-focused.
* Fun and enthusiastic.
* Have excellent organization skills.
* Demonstrate great attention to detail.
* Be a team player and enjoy succeeding as a team.
* Possess great customer service skills.
* Have a flexible approach to work.
