Adult Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative professional to join our dynamic Teign Core Mental Health Team. This compassionate and kind team provides recovery-focused care to our patients, carers, and their families.
You will be working autonomously in the community, using your own initiative to promote holistic recovery-focused care. Plenty of shadowing and training opportunities will be available to help you develop in the role.
Main Duties- Work alongside other agencies to promote recovery-focused care

We provide mental health, learning disability, and neurodiversity services, as well as specialist and secure services for the wider south west region and nationally. We strive to use our expertise and resources to deliver high-quality services that are safe and focused on recovery.

Person Specification- Postgraduate experience in at least two inpatient settings or substantial experience working within a mental health and/or learning disabilities setting;
- An understanding of the NSF and Mental Health Act/Mental Health Capacity Act requirements;
- An understanding of CPA Process;
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to engage with clients experiencing a wide range of mental health problems;
- An appropriate up-to-date professional mental health qualification, e.g., RMN, OT, or social worker on the appropriate professional body register and hold current registration with no restrictions;
- Evidence of relevant continuing professional development;
