Job Overview

The Sports Consultancy, a world-leading independent commercial advisory and execution firm, is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Rights Lead to play a crucial role in brokering partnerships for our clients, leading our sales team, and growing our commercial department.

About the Role
  • We are looking for someone with a proven track record of experience in sales/business development, ideally within the sports industry but other industries will be considered.
  • You will be responsible for intelligent targeting of potential partners for our clients, proactively developing new leads, completing prospecting and outreach to potential brands, engaging directly with brands across key industry sectors, managing the sales cycle from research to initial outreach, pitching, and closing, conducting research on sponsorship trends, categories, companies, and contacts, and consulting on various projects across other departments and services.
  • This is a client-facing role that requires excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to deliver high-quality deliverables that exceed client needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in sales/business development, ideally within the sports industry.
  • Experience of brokering sponsorship deals.
  • A very strong understanding of sponsorship and why brands invest in sports sponsorship.
  • Ability to build sales presentations and deliver them confidently.
  • A track record of hitting sales targets.
  • Ability to deliver an argument in a clear and compelling manner.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this role is £55,000 - £70,000, depending on experience, plus benefits including health insurance, pension scheme, and 25 days' annual leave.
