About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Videographer & Content Creator to join our team at Essential Photo & Video and help build and grow our personal brand. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about visual storytelling, has a deep understanding of social media trends, and can work independently to create compelling content that resonates with a broad audience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Spending an average of one day per week filming content for the brand, capturing key features of products, lifestyle shots, and behind-the-scenes footage.
  • Operating professional cameras, lighting, and audio equipment to ensure the best possible quality.
  • Ensuring all footage is shot with the final edit in mind, capturing a variety of angles and b-roll for social media or longer video clips for YouTube.
  • Developing and producing high-quality creative video or post or blog content for various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
  • Editing footage into short-form and long-form content for various platforms, including TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and more.
  • Reclipping longer content into engaging shorts, optimized for different social media channels.
  • Implementing creative editing techniques, including color grading, sound design, and motion graphics, to enhance the final product.
  • Staying up-to-date with social media trends, viral content, and successful brand strategies to ensure content is relevant and engaging.
  • Developing and pitching content ideas that align with the brand's goals and audience.
  • Writing scripts to ensure all content is purposeful and aligned with brand messaging.
  • Collaborating with the client to brainstorm and plan content themes, series, and campaigns.
  • Working closely with the COO to align social media content with overall marketing strategies and goals.
  • Analyzing the performance of content across different platforms and refining the approach based on data and insights.
  • Continuously researching successful personal brands to understand what type of content works best, and suggesting new strategies and ideas.
  • Staying informed about advancements in videography and editing techniques to continuously improve the quality of content.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to ensure content remains relevant and effective.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in making and creating video content creation.
  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and their respective audiences.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative ideas.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive decisions.
  • Familiarity with various social media platforms and their respective audiences.
  • A confident communicator and eager to work within the creative field.
  • Familiarity with digital advertising through social media would be helpful, but training can be provided.
