About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Videographer & Content Creator to join our team at Essential Photo & Video and help build and grow a personal brand. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about visual storytelling, has a deep understanding of social media trends, and can work independently to create compelling content that resonates with a broad audience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Filming & Production:
• Spend an average of one day per week capturing video content, including key features of the products, lifestyle shots, and behind-the-scenes footage.
• Operate professional cameras, lighting, and audio equipment to ensure the best possible quality.
• Ensure all footage is shot with the final edit in mind, capturing a variety of angles and b-roll for social media or longer video clips for YouTube.
• May require travel to various locations.
Content Creation:
• Develop and produce high-quality creative video or post content for various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
Content Editing & Post-Production:
• Edit footage into short-form and long-form content for various platforms, including TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and more.
• Reclip longer content into engaging shorts, optimized for different social media channels.
• Implement creative editing techniques, including color grading, sound design, and motion graphics, to enhance the final product.
• Test different hooks, titles, and thumbnail designs to optimize for engagement and virality.
Content Strategy & Development:
• Stay up-to-date with social media trends, viral content, and successful brand strategies to ensure content is relevant and engaging.
• Develop and pitch content ideas that align with the brand's goals and audience.
• Write scripts to ensure all content is purposeful and aligned with brand messaging.
• Collaborate with the client to brainstorm and plan content themes, series, and campaigns.
Collaboration:
• Work closely with the COO to align social media content with overall marketing strategies and goals.
Research & Continuous Improvement:
• Analyze the performance of content across different platforms and refine the approach based on data and insights.
• Continuously research successful personal brands to understand what type of content works best, and suggest new strategies and ideas.
• Stay informed about advancements in videography and editing techniques to continuously improve the quality of content.
Trend Monitoring:
• Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to ensure content remains relevant and effective.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Proven experience in making and creating video content creation.
• Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
• Strong understanding of social media platforms and their respective audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative ideas.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive decisions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Skills:
• Prior experience is beneficial, but not required.
• Confident using professional camera equipment and lighting.
• Proficiency in using Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Premiere.
• Familiarity with various social media platforms and their respective audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as confidence presenting in front of the camera.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

You will be able to get on with others and be a true team player. Familiarity with digital advertising through social media would be helpful, but training can be provided.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Videographer, Content Creator, or similar role, with a strong portfolio of relevant work.
• Expertise in operating professional cameras, lighting, and audio equipment.
• Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects) and motion graphics.
• Deep understanding of social media platforms, trends, and algorithms, particularly TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram.
• Strong knowledge of what content performs well on social media, with a demonstrated ability to create viral content.
• Creative and strategic thinker with a passion for storytelling and visual communication.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to direct and collaborate with on-camera talent.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to travel and be on-site for filming as required.
