Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Registered Nurse or Midwife to join our Clinical Skills Team as a Clinical Skills Practitioner. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality clinical skills training to our inter-professional workforce.

Main Responsibilities

The Clinical Skills Practitioner will be responsible for coordinating and delivering clinical skills training across the Trust, ensuring that all training is evidence-based and delivered to a high standard. This will involve working closely with wards and departments to support clinical staff in developing clinical skills and providing safe and effective care.

Key Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in nursing or midwifery, with experience in teaching, assessing, and mentoring students in a clinical setting. You will also need to have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team.

Person Specification

Essential Criteria

  • Registered Nurse/Midwife with appropriate evidence of revalidation
  • Experience of teaching, assessing, and mentoring students in a clinical setting

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience of managing difficult conversations
  • Experience of training delivery using the OSCE approach
