Senior Structural Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team as the operational and technical lead for the design team in our Sheffield office.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a technology-driven Structural Engineering Consultancy that operates across the UK, specialising in Structural Inspections, Surveys and Design.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design team and ensure high-quality technical delivery
  • Attend site inspections and site meetings to ensure project success
  • Prepare structural design calculations for a range of market sectors, including residential, educational, commercial, rail infrastructure, and industrial
  • Deliver projects from small residential properties to large commercial projects, driving commercial success and profitability
  • Develop and maintain industry-standard software skills and knowledge
  • Collaborate with clients to provide innovative design solutions for building insurance claims
Requirements:
  • Several years of post-graduate design experience, including residential projects
  • Strong understanding of structures and materials, including steel, masonry, concrete, and timber
  • Knowledge of sustainability and environmental impact of building structures, including embodied carbon calculations
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
