Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Lead Structural Engineer with a minimum of five years of experience in the UK engineering sector to enhance our dynamic team. This role involves engaging in a variety of projects, collaborating with numerous clients, contractors, and architects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and analysis of structures, including concrete and steel frameworks, as well as medium to high-rise buildings.
  • Engagement in projects spanning residential, commercial, refurbishment, and industrial sectors.
  • Utilization of advanced software tools for structural calculations and design, such as MasterSeries, Tekla, CSC FastTrack, or Strand7.
  • Preparation, detailing, and review of engineering drawings, while overseeing CAD Technicians in their tasks.
  • Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including geotechnical and civil/infrastructure engineers.
  • Mentoring and supervising junior engineers and technicians, ensuring quality and accuracy in their work.
  • Preparation of design proposals, technical reports, and participation in client meetings to foster strong relationships and address project requirements.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be either Chartered or on the path to achieving chartered status with ICE or IStructE. A hands-on approach to design, coupled with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, is essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
