Senior Structural Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to lead our design team in Sheffield. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality structural design solutions across various sectors, including residential, educational, commercial, and rail infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design team in delivering structural design solutions that meet client requirements and industry standards.
  • Prepare structural design calculations and design solutions for building insurance claims, including fire, storm, explosion, flooding, and subsidence.
  • Deliver projects ranging from small residential properties to large commercial projects, ensuring commercial success and driving profitability.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of industry-standard software and stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
Requirements:
  • Several years of post-graduate design experience, including residential projects.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard software and a general understanding of structures and materials, including steel, masonry, concrete, and timber.
  • Understanding of sustainability and environmental impact of building structures, including embodied carbon calculations.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coach and mentor team members.
