Senior Ecologist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Ecologist to join our team at Penguin Recruitment. As a Senior Ecologist, you will be responsible for leading ecological projects, managing a team of ecologists, and providing expert advice on ecological matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead ecological projects from conception to completion
  • Manage a team of ecologists, providing guidance and support
  • Conduct habitat and protected species surveys
  • Develop and implement ecological mitigation strategies
  • Prepare and submit reports, including PEA, EIA, and BNG reports
Requirements:
  • Degree in Ecology or a related field
  • Extensive experience in ecological project management
  • Proven leadership and project management skills
  • Strong knowledge of UK and European ecological legislation
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Hold one or more Protected Species Licences
  • Proficiency with QGIS and other ecological software
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Membership of CIEEM
