Job Title: Senior Ecologist

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Ecologist to lead our team of dedicated ecologists in delivering ecological projects and surveys across various initiatives. As a Senior Ecologist, you will be responsible for managing complex ecological projects, providing expert advice, and overseeing the successful delivery of surveys and mitigation strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of ecologists in delivering ecological projects and surveys
  • Manage complex ecological projects, including habitat and protected species surveys
  • Provide expert advice on ecological matters
  • Oversee the successful delivery of surveys and mitigation strategies

Requirements:

  • Degree in Ecology or a related field
  • Extensive experience conducting habitat and protected species surveys
  • Proven leadership and project management experience
  • Strong knowledge of UK and European ecological legislation
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Hold one or more Protected Species Licences
  • Proficiency with QGIS and other ecological software
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Membership of CIEEM
