Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Ecological Project Manager to oversee all ecological aspects of project planning, execution, and delivery. The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project goals are achieved on time, within budget, and in compliance with ecological standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interface with related disciplines to ensure project delivery meets ecological standards
  • Provide technical steer for producing ecological assessments from project inception to completion
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to gather input and allocate resources effectively
  • Ensure the project is resourced appropriately to deliver the programme
  • Identify potential risks and uncertainties and assist in developing mitigation strategies, schedules, and contingency plans

You will be responsible for managing various deliverables and contributing to the pioneering success of this team within the industry.

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Ecological Project Manager with a degree in ecology and a higher degree in a related field. You should have full membership of CIEEM and be a Chartered Ecologist or be demonstrably approaching Chartered Ecologist. International ESIA experience would be advantageous but not essential.

You should have significant experience in delivering Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEAs), Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) assessments, Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIAs) and Ecology Chapters for Environmental Statements. Proven experience in business development and client relationship management with the ability to generate ongoing workstreams with existing clients is also essential.
