Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Bodycote. This is an exciting opportunity to work with diverse technology and equipment, drive the implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and have a tangible positive impact on site operations and the overall business.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide proactive and reactive support to maintenance engineering teams across Bodycote facilities in Europe.
  • Drive the implementation of TPM, ensuring continuous and safe equipment operation while minimizing incidents and breakdowns.
  • Travel and remote support to Bodycote sites to assist with reactive and planned maintenance activities, including fault diagnosis and emergency repairs.
  • Manage small projects related to equipment improvements or installations, perform tasks to enhance asset reliability and overall plant efficiency, and ensure spare parts availability.

Requirements:
  • HND in electromechanical engineering or similar qualification (NVQ level) with hands-on experience.
  • Proven experience in mechanical breakdown repair of plant, machinery, and services.
  • Experience working with compressors, gas handling, and electrical systems.
  • Ideally, experience with PLCs and control systems.
  • Fluency in English (German/French is an advantage).
  • A team player with a collaborative attitude, flexible approach, and a strong drive for results.
  • Self-motivated, well-organized, and able to work effectively under pressure.

Salary Information:


The estimated salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, you will receive a range of benefits, including a pension match contribution from 4% - 10%, private medical insurance, life assurance, and employee assistance programs.
