Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Research Nurse to join our Cardiology Research team at the Bristol Heart Institute. The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical research and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate clinical trials in the Cardiology department, ensuring compliance with research governance and good clinical practice guidelines.
  • Recruit and screen patients for clinical trials, obtaining informed consent and ensuring patient safety.
  • Collect and manage clinical trial data, including patient information, vital signs, and laboratory results.
  • Collaborate with the research team to develop and implement research protocols, ensuring timely and accurate data collection.
  • Provide education and training to patients and healthcare staff on clinical trial procedures and protocols.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in Nursing.
  • Experience in clinical research, preferably in a cardiovascular disease or acute care setting.
  • Good understanding of research governance and good clinical practice guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and comprehensive records, including patient information and clinical trial data.
