About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Cardiology Research Nurse to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW). As a key member of our Cardiology Research team, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of clinical trials and research studies within our Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the management and coordination of clinical trials and research studies, ensuring compliance with research governance and good clinical practice (GCP) guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, researchers, and patients to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Conduct patient assessments, collect and manage data, and ensure accurate and comprehensive data collection.
  • Work closely with the research team to identify and address research opportunities, and develop strategies to increase research activity within the Trust.
  • Provide training and support to colleagues on research-related topics, and contribute to the development of research skills and knowledge within the team.
Requirements
  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) with a broad knowledge and experience of clinical practice within an acute hospital environment.
  • Interest in clinical research and a willingness to develop research skills and knowledge.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ability to manage resources effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Good report writing skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
