We are seeking an experienced and motivated Cardiology Research Nurse to join our team at the Bristol Heart Institute. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a clinical research environment, developing their leadership skills and progressing to a more senior post within the Trust.
Key Responsibilities- Approach patients to participate in studies and manage and assist the team with practical assessments as part of research studies.
- Collect and record data, including questionnaires, vital signs, and samples such as blood, urine, and swabs.
- Complete administrative duties associated with these assessments, including entering results onto computer-based data collection portals.
- Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to support a portfolio of non-complex clinical trials.
- Ensure that research is undertaken within research governance and good clinical practice (GCP) guidelines and safeguards the wellbeing of participants.
- Experience in cardiovascular disease and/or an acute care setting.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure patient safety and accurate and comprehensive data collection.
