Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Cardiology Research team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW). As a Cardiology Research Nurse, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of clinical trials and research studies within our department.

Main Responsibilities
  • Approach patients to participate in studies and manage and assist the team with practical assessments as part of research studies.
  • Collect and record data, including questionnaires, vital signs, and samples such as blood, urine, and swabs.
  • Complete administrative duties associated with these assessments, including entering results on to a computer-based data collection portal.
  • Work closely with members of the multi-disciplinary team to support the delivery of clinical trials and research studies.
About the Role

This is a fixed-term contract for up to 1 year, working full-time Monday to Friday, with some flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by studies. You will be part of a friendly and supportive team, with opportunities for professional development and training.

Requirements
  • Broad knowledge and experience of clinical practice within an acute hospital environment.
  • Interest in clinical research and a willingness to develop your skills and knowledge in this area.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ability to manage resources effectively and prioritize tasks to ensure effective and efficient workload completion.
