About The Job:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Trainee Accounts Assistant to join our team in Harlow. As a Trainee Accounts Assistant, you will work closely with our Senior Accounts Clerk and Group Finance Manager to support various accounting tasks, including processing purchase ledger, coding and posting invoices, and reconciling bank statements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process purchase ledger, coding and posting invoices on SAGE, and resolve supplier queries
  • Conduct bank reconciliations
  • Post receipts and payments from the cashbook
  • Assist with monthly management accounts preparation
  • Approve purchase invoices by matching them with POs, delivery notes, etc.
  • Reconcile monthly credit card statements
  • Produce the monthly payment run
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date filing systems
  • Provide support to the Senior Accounts Clerk and Group Finance Manager
  • Assist the Payroll Clerk

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with SAGE 50 is beneficial but not essential
  • Excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to adapt to different tasks on a daily basis
