Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Nutrition Support Consultant to join our team at Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will work in regular and flexible shifts to undertake nutritional assessments, educate patients, and promote health and wellbeing through diet and nutrition. Responsibilities include working with patients and multidisciplinary teams, liaising with hospital staff, and educating other healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake comprehensive nutritional assessments for patients with complex medical conditions.
  • Educate patients with diet-related disorders on practical ways to improve their health and wellbeing.
  • Deliver group sessions to healthcare professionals or patient groups, promoting healthy eating habits and disease prevention.
  • Collaborate with patients and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Liaise with hospital staff and external agencies to facilitate smooth patient transitions.
  • Promote health and wellbeing through evidence-based diet and nutrition education.
  • Provide expert advice to healthcare professionals on food and nutrition issues.
  • Work closely with hospital catering departments to ensure patient dietary requirements are met.


Salary: £38,000 - £48,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
