Job Description:

At Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust, we are seeking an experienced Dietary Health Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work in regular and flexible shifts to provide patient-centered care through nutritional assessments, education, and promotion of health and wellbeing.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough nutritional assessments for patients with complex medical conditions.
  • Educate patients with diet-related disorders on effective ways to improve their health and wellbeing.
  • Deliver group sessions to healthcare professionals or patient groups, promoting healthy eating habits and disease prevention.
  • Collaborate with patients and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Liaise with hospital staff and external agencies to facilitate smooth patient transitions.
  • Promote health and wellbeing through evidence-based diet and nutrition education.
  • Provide expert advice to healthcare professionals on food and nutrition issues.
  • Work closely with hospital catering departments to ensure patient dietary requirements are met.


Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
