Role Overview:

Lancashire County Council and Reed Education are seeking a highly skilled individual to fill the position of Cover Supervisor in the Preston area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the classroom environment, ensuring pupils remain on task with pre-prepared exercises. This role requires a very high standard of communication skills, including accurate spelling and grammar.

Salary: The salary for this position is £23,920 - £39,618 per annum, paid in line with the LCC Pay Scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the classroom environment, maintaining order and discipline among pupils.
  • Ensure pupils remain on task with pre-prepared exercises, promoting engagement and learning.
  • Communicate effectively with teaching staff, school administrators, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in education or a related field.
  • Recent experience working in Secondary schools, preferably at Key Stage 3, 4, or 5 levels.
  • A commitment to professional development and a keenness to learn.
  • A passion for working with children and a strong commitment to Safeguarding.
