Axcis Education Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sports Coach Teaching Assistant to support the academic and physical development of young learners in Preston, Lancashire.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with teachers to develop and deliver engaging lesson plans, incorporating sports and physical education, and promoting academic growth among students.
  2. Design and implement innovative programs that promote physical health, teamwork, and sportsmanship, creating engaging learning experiences for students.
  3. Provide targeted support to students who require extra assistance, helping them achieve their academic and personal goals.
  4. Foster a love for sports and physical activity among students, encouraging participation and development.
  5. Model positive behavior and mentorship, promoting discipline and respect within the school community.
  6. Contribute to the organisation and supervision of sports events and extracurricular activities, enriching the school's cultural life.
  7. Maintain sports equipment and facilities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all.
  8. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities, staying abreast of industry best practices.
Requirements:
  • Possess relevant experience in sports coaching, with a focus on developing and implementing effective coaching strategies.
  • Demonstrate a genuine passion for sports and physical education, inspiring young learners.
  • Show exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, working effectively with colleagues and students.
  • Hold a recognised coaching qualification or evidence of ongoing sports coaching education, staying current with industry developments.
  • Understand and adhere to safeguarding and child protection procedures, prioritising student well-being.
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS check, ensuring a safe and secure environment.
