Job Overview:

Axcis Education Recruitment seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic Sports Coach Teaching Assistant to support the development of young learners in Preston, Lancashire.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons and physical education sessions, promoting academic and physical growth among students.
  2. Develop innovative programs promoting physical health, teamwork, and sportsmanship among students, creating engaging learning experiences.
  3. Provide one-on-one support to students requiring additional help, ensuring they reach their full potential.
  4. Encourage student participation in sports and activities, identifying talents and providing guidance, fostering a love for physical education.
  5. Serve as a positive role model and mentor, instilling discipline and respect, and supporting staff members.
  6. Support the organisation and supervision of sports events and extracurricular activities, contributing to the school's vibrant community.
  7. Maintain sports equipment and ensure facility safety, upholding the school's standards.
  8. Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities, staying updated on best practices.
Requirements:
  • Possess proven experience in sports coaching, developing and implementing coaching strategies.
  • Demonstrate a passion for sports and physical education, engaging and motivating young learners.
  • Show strong interpersonal and communication skills, working collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Hold a relevant coaching qualification or evidence of ongoing sports coaching education, staying current with industry developments.
  • Understand safeguarding and child protection procedures, prioritising student well-being.
  • Have an Enhanced DBS check, ensuring a safe and secure environment.
