Exciting opportunity to work with children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in a vibrant primary resource provision.

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic professional to provide tailored support and guidance to young learners with diverse learning needs. You will work closely with permanent staff, SEND coordinators, and external professionals to create an inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

Job Description:
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to children with SEND, ensuring their individual needs are met.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans and interventions that support the academic, social, and emotional development of children with SEND.
  • Implement sensory integration techniques, communication strategies, and behavior management techniques to support children with diverse needs.
  • Build strong partnerships with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to supporting children with SEND both in school and at home.
  • Provide compassionate personal care to pupils, for example, nappy changing and assistance with toileting.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working with children with SEND, particularly with primary aged students.
  • A sound understanding of primary curriculum frameworks and strategies for supporting children with diverse learning needs.
  • Empathy, patience, and a positive attitude towards supporting the unique abilities and challenges of children with SEND.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in supporting children with SEND, such as a Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools (SEND pathway), is desirable but not essential.

Estimated Salary: £95 per day
