Job Description

As the Head of Sanctions at NatWest, you will play a critical role in ensuring the bank's business strategy is compliant with sanctions policy, external laws, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement the bank-wide sanctions policy, ensuring it reflects relevant laws and regulations.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to the business on sanctions-related matters, including operating procedures and controls.
  • Oversee sanctions name screening and transaction filtering systems to prevent breaches.
  • Represent the bank externally on sanctions matters and lead complex sanctions investigations.

Requirements

We are seeking an individual with a deep understanding of sanctions subject matter expertise, risk management principles, and regulatory frameworks.

You will need to demonstrate technical expertise in relevant political and legislative developments across the financial industry, as well as the ability to guide and influence business representatives on related matters.
