Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Support and Accommodation Officer to join our team at Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and accommodation services to individuals and families in need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely and effective support to individuals and families in interim accommodation, including advice, information, and assistance.
  • Work with clients to identify and secure suitable alternative accommodation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including other agencies and service providers.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of homelessness prevention and support strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective service delivery and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Experience of providing frontline homelessness services and working knowledge of homelessness legislation and good practice.
  • Minimum qualifications of 4 GCSEs Grade A-C or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
